What is a Polygraph Examination?
A Polygraph Examination, (commonly called a "Lie Detector Test") uses sophisticated, computerized instrumentation, to detect physiological criteria normally associated with deception. Components of the instrument measure changes in a person's respiratory, cardiovascular, and galvanic skin resistance/conduction. These changes are then charted, and scored numerically, using standards approved by the United States Department of Defense Academy for Credibility Assesment.
